Laxmedals.com is pleased to announce the addition of a new lacrosse medal to it’s one-of-a-kind collection of vintage lacrosse medals: The 1977 NCAA Division II Championship Medal awarded to the Hobart Statesmen.

These types of awards are most likely handed down to family members as a family inheritance so to have this medal added to our collection and to share it with the lacrosse community is very special. The 1977 Hobart team was as dominant as any in lacrosse history this medal was presented to a very special collection of lacrosse players. This medal is a beautiful medal very rare”

The 1977 NCAA Divison II Lacrosse Championship Medal. The 1977 Hobart lacrosse team captured the Division II National Championship, making it back-to-back championship seasons for Head Coach Jerry Schmidt and the Statesmen. It was the team’s fourth consecutive trip to the Division II title game. In the championship game on May 22, 1977, Hobart earned a 23-13 victory over Washington College. The Statesmen’s leading scorer, Roy McAdam ’80, established a tournament record with 21 points over four games. The 1977 Hobart team outscored its opponents with an astonishing mark of 351-112.

This custom lacrosse referee coin measures 1.5″ across and is a hefty 3mm thick. The core is brass with a polished lustrous gold finish. The front of the coin features a native american warrior “heads” with the traditional words, “HONOR THE GAME.” One the reverse all of the united Iroquois tribes are around the edge with the date of their union of 1722 between two classic lacrosse sticks. “We were constantly being asked if we had an attractive stock flip coin for our lacrosse referees and we finally got around to making the best lacrosse coin available.” Says Mike Rogers, President of Laxmedals.com. “This coin is not only beautiful it honors the founders of the game and is a definitely interesting coin to share with others and note the history of the game. The FIL World Lacrosse Championships feature the world’s best lacrosse players and teams competing for the world champion title during a two week competition concluding on July 21. “To once again be chosen to design and produce the FIL World Lacrosse Championship medals for this years games is without exception the highest honor bestowed on Laxmedals.com.” Said Mike Rogers, President of Laxmedals.com. “To think when I started Laxmedals.com to award some medals to one of my high school teams I coached and to then grow the business and our reputation to be trusted to produce a world-class medallion to be issued to the greatest lacrosse players in the world….its just been so much fun for my staff and I to have worked on this project from start to finish. The FIL championships have evolved to an incredible stage of lacrosse competition, and we really needed a medallion to properly represent the FIL and the importance of this accomplishment. These medals we produced are comparable to any Olympic medal, and the same standards in design and manufacturing went into the FIL championship medals. Laxmedals.com, the premier design and manufacturing company for lacrosse medals and awards, has updated its stock inventory with the new Girls All-Star medallion. “We received many inquiries for medals featuring our trademarked 3D lacrosse art that are available for purchase without going down the full custom design route.” Reported Mike Rogers, President of Laxmedals.com. “We developed two new stock medals, one each for the boys and girls, that are beautiful 3D art medallions, which can be customized by the customer with custom lanyards, enamel fill colors on front, and laser engraving or enamel print on the reverse. The response has been really beyond my expectations, we have sold over 5,000 of the new stock All-Star medals in the first 6 months of 2018 alone. Given the response to this first batch of new generation stock medals, we are already looking to add additional 3D art stock medals to our inventory in 2019 plus some new 3D art plaque medallions.”
